Spam email is one of the major scourges of the Internet and is something we spend lots of time and money on trying to fight for our customers, but is something we cannot stop.
We have spam blockers running constantly on our email servers, but due to the fact that spammers constantly change the format of emails, it is impossible for all emails to be blocked and inevitably spam emails will still find their way into your mailbox. |

 |
| If you are on one of our Starter, Bargain or Business plans then you get the basic server wise spam protection. This stops the majority of spam but cannot block everything due to the different ways that email is sent. You could reduce the amount of spam you get by removing the catchall email address and set up specific email accounts that you use. This means that only emails sent to that address will be delivered. But again this will still allow a few spam emails through. |
| |
| If you have a Commerce or Professional plan then you have the added protection called Spam Assassin. This will block 98% of all spam sent to you and has its own settings area within cpanel allowing you to alter your settings to be more harsh on the email you receive or more lax. |
| |
| If you are not on the commerce or professional plan then you can still benefit from Spam Assassin as a hosting bolt on. The cost is £17.99 + VAT per year, or if you prefer you can upgrade your plan and benefit from all the features that come with our commerce or professional plans as well as Spam Assassin. |
| |
| If you have Spam Assassin already then all you need to do is go into your Cpanel and enable it from under the email management tools section. If you wish to add SPam Assassin or upgrade to a plan that includes it, then please click on the button below to login to your account area and click on hosting upgrades: |
